After a great training build up through the fall, Andrew Bumbalough looks to further embrace the Japanese running culture, making his marathon debut at this year's Tokyo Marathon.  In late November, Andrew and teammate, Chris Derrick, traveled to Tokyo for the Hachioji Long Distance Meet, and both came back with rave reviews of the Japanese running culture.  Andrew is spending the month of January in Flagstaff, AZ for some altitude training leading into the marathon.  Traditionally more of a track athlete, he's ready to try his hand at the longer marathon distance, most importantly he's excited to start off the year with another trip to Japan and set himself up well for gold airline status this year!
