IMPORTANT 2018 Nike Portland XC Registered Athletes

BTC Youth,

We’re back for another week of practice and we have the 2018 Nike Portland XC race this upcoming Saturday, Sept. 29th at Portland Meadows. The girls will race at 2:15pm with the boys to follow at 2:35pm.

Please check that your daughter/son is registered here

If you do not see their name, please email the youth@bowermantc.com account to try to get them registered. We will do our best to work with the Race Director to get them in but there is no guarantee.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

There is a $5 spectator entry fee to get inside Portland Meadows.  Only cash or check accepted.  There are no ATMs in the parking lot.

T-shirts are $20 for short sleeve and $30 for long sleeve.  Only cash or check accepted.  There will be two ATMs on the infield of the track.  

Dogs are not allowed on the infield of the track due to the health of the race horses.  The first day of horse racing is the next day on September 30. 

The shoe chip needs to be placed safely within the shoe lace of the shoe.  The athlete can take home the chip as a souvenir and is not returned to the meet.

This is a local race and we highly recommend all youth to participate in this meet.  If you would like to race, please fill out the appropriate sign-up below.  For this race and all races this year, we recommend you arrive at least 1 hour prior to the start of your son or daughter's race.

If you are driving to the race, please have your Drivers License ready to show at parking. Parking costs $5. It’s an early morning but allow for 2 hours driving time from Downtown Portland.

Bowerman TC Nike Company Store Shopping Extended

BTC Youth,

We received many emails from families who were not able to visit the Nike Company Store over the weekend so they have been extremely thoughtful and have extended our ability visit until Sept. 30!

That means for anyone who hasn’t already gone, you can use the flyer for ONE TIME access anytime before Sept. 30th.

If you have already visited, please respect the courtesy they are extending us and do not visit again. Additionally, please keep this invitation private and for BTC Youth athletes and their family only. We would like the Nike Company Store to continue inviting our BTC family back to enjoy the discounts!

Hello BTC Youth,

The 2018 season is quickly underway and we will be offering uniforms at practice this week. Uniforms are $30 and will only be available to order online. There will be no size selection online. You will be able to try on and pick out the uniform size at practice.

Practice is underway and its already time for our first race sign-up.  For the first race of the year, we have 2 options to race.  On Friday, September 21 we have the McMinnville Middle School Invite and on Saturday, September 22 we have the 3 Course Challenge Meet in Seaside, Oregon.  Please only sign up for one of the races.  We do not want kids to race at both.  Both races are great opportunities for a race.  We are offering both to allow for families to attend whichever works best with your schedule.  If you would like to race, please fill out the appropriate sign-up below.  For these races and all races this year, we recommend you arrive at least 1 hour prior to the start of your son or daughter's race. The club will cover registration costs for both meets.

**Athletes will be entered based on age.  12 and older with be entered in the Varsity Race and 11 and Under will be registered in the JV race.  However, we can make adjustments if an athlete needs to run in the other race due to time constraints.  Please contact youth@bowermantc.com if this is the case.

Bowerman TC Nike Company Store Shopping Day

BTC Youth,

The Nike Company Store has been generous enough to welcome back all BTC Youth athletes and their families to a shopping day at the Company Store on Sunday, September 16th starting at 10am.

They will have youth XC spikes available, as well as youth running product that will be brought in to help everyone gear up for the 2018 season.

Additionally, from 3pm-6pm, they will have heat presses on site to customize product with XC logos, and have some giveaways as well.

Movie Screening Featuring Kate Grace

There will be a screening at 7pm Monday evening (9/10) of the running film 3100: Run and Become at Cinema 21 in Portland. It's a film about the spiritual and transcendental side of running. BTC pro Kate Grace will speaking on a panel after the screening and she wanted to extend an invitation to all club members to attend! Tickets are $10 and you can get them here.
